  1. I’m not sure if you answer questions, but…

    Is the answer false? Due to NO entering inspiratory limb only and being rapidly absorbed/metabolised? I haven’t been able to find the answer to this.

  2. I like the comment in Al Sheik:
    The recently designed paramagnetic oxygen analysers have a rapid response making it possible to analyse the inspired and expired oxygen concentration on a breath-to-breath basis

    I think that Datex released these analysers at the end of the 80s… I guess all things are relative.

    As a matter of interest the ‘recently’ designed Dräger fuel cells will also do breath to breath oxygen analysis.

    The source of the question appears to have been Miller 7th Ed Chapter 44
    Miller 8th ed seems to have been dumbed down, but you could guess the answer from Chapter 104

    The analyser is important and highly examinable, so the reading you have done has not been in vain!
